Goodbye 2008-2009, Hello 2009-2010

The Madrid Players would like to say a huge
THANK YOU
for your support during the 2008-2009 season

We've already got a packed autumn in the pipeline, which we look forward to sharing with you.

What we really need now are sponsors and advertisers for our autumn productions, an evening to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Edgar Allan Poe and the return of The Madrid Players' pantomime, which this year will be Robin Hood.

Financial support is necessary to be able to put these shows on, so if you know of any company which may be interested in sponsoring The Madrid Players in return for reaching up to 4000 spectators and their families, as well as being featured on all publicity material, posters, flyers, programmes, blog, website, emails and facebook then please email us at madridplayers@gmail.com. We can give you the sponsorship/publicity pack or, if you prefer, we can get in touch with the potential sponsor or advertiser directly.

If you don't have a company in mind, but you would like to sponsor a show personally or in the name of a charity of your choice, then we'd love to hear from you too.

See you in September!

HOW TO JOIN

Always wanted to tread the boards?

Hone your talent?

Use your singing, dancing,

sewing or painting skills

somewhere they'll be appreciated?

You've come to the right place!

THE MADRID PLAYERS produces three to four shows a year, between September and June, ranging from cabarets and comedies to “classics” and Christmas pantomimes. We also have parties and get covered in paint (often at the same time). Whether you want to act, direct, hammer nails or help with PR and publicity, come along and meet the crowd – then, if you want to join, you can become a member for a yearly fee of just 35€ (Family membership: 55€).

This entitles you to take part in workshops and shows (if cast!), and obtain discounts on tickets for our shows in certain venues. There is no restriction in terms of nationality, but you do need to have a strong (preferably native) level of English to be cast in shows. We meet and rehearse at our Clubhouse, usually from 8.30pm to 10.30pm or 9pm to 11pm midweek, or on Saturday or Sunday mornings. However, rehearsal schedules obviously depend on the director and cast availability.
The address is:
Plaza Perseo, 9 (entrance on Calle Perseo, opposite number 16)
Sign above the door says CARAVANA Metro: Conde de Casal (5mn walk)
For updated information on the club, activities and shows
check this blog page regularly. www.madridplayers.blogspot.com
